Art Direction at Clemson World
Clemson World, summer 2026 issue, Art and Creativity theme.
The summer 2026 edition of Clemson World is our “art and creativity” issue. Creativity is a diverse theme at Clemson and the team found stories to tell from across campus. I wanted the cover to represent the whole issue, rather than one feature story. I worked with faculty member Drew Sisk to create the cover art. In Sisk’s personal projects he works with experimental typography etched on acrylic plates. The two of us worked together to create the “Clemson Creatives” design and then he etched onto an acrylic plate which I then photographed at different locations around campus.
The final cover image was shot in front of a painting, “Kis Kaus” by Tim Dimond, which hangs permanently on campus.
